The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
There was certainly a time when there was no mention of the human being. 1 We have created the human from a (sperm) drop, a mixture, testing him; We made him to hear and see. 2 We surely showed him the way that he may either be grateful or deny. 3 Indeed, for the unbelievers We have prepared chains, fetters and a Blazing (Fire). 4 The virtuous ones will drink from a cup containing camphor 5 A spring of which the [righteous] servants of Allah will drink; they will make it gush forth in force [and abundance]. 6 These will be the ones who fulfil their vows and dread the Day whose woe shall be spread far and wide; 7 And they feed with food, for love of Him, the needy, and the orphan and the captive. 8 (Saying): We feed you, for the sake of Allah only. We wish for no reward nor thanks from you; 9 behold, we stand in awe of our Sustainer's judgment on a distressful, fateful Day!" 10 Therefore Allah will guard them from the evil of that day and cause them to meet with ease and happiness; 11 and will reward them for all their patience in adversity with a garden [of bliss] and with [garments of] silk. 12 Reclining there upon couches, they shall see neither the sun nor the moon. 13 And close down upon them (shall be) its shadows, and its fruits shall be made near (to them), being easy to reach. 14 Rounds of silver cups and silver beakers, looking like glass, will be presented upon them. 15 Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure. 16 There will they drink a cup flavoured with ginger 17 A spring there, called Salsabil. 18 ۞ And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls. 19 And when you look there (in Paradise), you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion. 20 They will have fine green silk and brocade, and they will be decked with bracelets of silver. Their Lord will provide them with a drink of pure wine. 21 'See, this is your recompense, your striving is thanked' 22

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
