The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
