The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event takes place, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 You will become three categories: 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 a good many of those of olden times, 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 And clustered plantains, 29 and spreading shade 30 Gushing water, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 on raised couches. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
