Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 and so am I: 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17

God the Almighty always says the truth.
