The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On studded thrones. 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 like hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 and spreading shade 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 33 And exalted thrones. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 for the people of the right hand 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
