▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay! By the moon 32 By the receding night 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 A warning to mankind, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 about the sinners. 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
