No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 As a warning unto men, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
