1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 indeed, on that Day they will surrender themselves. 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 We seduced you astray; verily we were ourselves the seduced ones. 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. 34 Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah; 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 What then, shall we not die 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire: 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 74
