Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 'Ayn Sin Qaf. 2 Thus does Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Wise reveal to you even as (He revealed) to those (Messengers) who preceded you. 3 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth; and He is the Supreme, the Greatest. 4 The heavens are almost split asunder from above as the angels sing their Lord's praise and seek forgiveness for those on earth. God is indeed the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 5 God is the guardian of even those who have chosen others (idols) besides Him as their guardians (Muhammad), you will not have to answer for them. 6 Thus have We sent by inspiration to thee an Arabic Qur'an: that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her,- and warn (them) of the Day of Assembly, of which there is no doubt: (when) some will be in the Garden, and some in the Blazing Fire. 7 Had God wanted, He could have made them all one single nation, but He grants mercy to whomever He wills. The unjust will have no guardian or helper. 8 Or have they taken protectors [or allies] besides him? But Allah - He is the Protector, and He gives life to the dead, and He is over all things competent. 9
