The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
True are the words of God the Almighty.
