(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 And let him share my task 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): 'Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?' We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure, 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
