The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The All-merciful 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created the human 3 and He taught him speech. 4 [At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses; 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
