Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens they will question 40 From the guilty. 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 "Till death overcame us." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
