The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 “And do not give the people their goods diminished, and do not roam the earth causing turmoil.” 183 Fear Him who created you, and the generations of the ancients.' 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
