Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
