The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
