Nay, by the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 Warn the men. 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 running away from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
