۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96
