The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
