Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the midday brightness 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
