Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord – 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 Or do they say: "There is madness in him"? Nay, he has brought them the truth - and the truth do most of them detest! 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And already We overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves. 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
