▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. 46 (jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 47 Having [spreading] branches. 48 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 49 Wherein are two fountains flowing. 50 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors would you then deny? 51 Therein are two kinds of every fruit. 52 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 53 [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low. 54 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 55 In the midst of these shall be maidens with modest, restrained glances; maidens whom no man or jinn has ever touched before. 56 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 57 Lovely as rubies and pearls. 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 The reward of goodness shall be nothing but goodness. 60 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). 62 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 63 dark green in color. 64 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 65 In them will be two gushing springs. 66 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 67 With fruits in them, and dates and pomegranates -- 68 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 69 In them are goodly things, beautiful ones. 70 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 71 They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. 72 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 73 Untouched before them by man or jinni - 74 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 75 [In such a paradise will they dwell,] reclining upon meadows green and carpets rich in beauty. 76 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
