And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
