Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
