Aaron had said to them before: 'My nation, you have been tempted by it. Your Lord is the Merciful. Follow me and obey my order' 90 They replied, "We shall not cease to worship it until Moses returns to us." 91 [Moses] said, "O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray, 92 from [abandoning them and] following me? Hast thou, then, [deliberately] disobeyed my commandment?" 93 "O son of my mother," (Aaron cried), do not pull me by my beard or my hair! I was really afraid you may say that I had created a rift among the children of Israel, and did not pay heed to your command." 94 Said Moosa, “And what is your explanation, O Samri?” 95 He said: I saw (Jibreel) what they did not see, so I took a handful (of the dust) from the footsteps of the messenger, then I threw it in the casting; thus did my soul commend to me 96 [Moses] said, "Then go. And indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, 'No contact.' And indeed, you have an appointment [in the Hereafter] you will not fail to keep. And look at your 'god' to which you remained devoted. We will surely burn it and blow it into the sea with a blast. 97 Your only deity is God, there is no deity but Him. His knowledge encompasses all things." 98 (O Muhammad), thus do We recount to you the events of the past, and We have bestowed upon you from Ourself an admonition. 99 Whoever turns away from it will surely carry a burden on the Day of Judgement, 100 They will remain in it forever – what an evil burden it will be for them on the Day of Resurrection! 101 the Day when the Trumpet shall be sounded and We shall muster the sinners, their eyes turned blue with terror. 102 Mutterin among themselves: ye tarried not save ten days. 103 We know well what they will say. The most just among them in the matter will declare: 'You have stayed away but one day' 104
