▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in hell. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
