AND CALL to mind, through this divine writ, Moses. Behold, he was a chosen one, and was an apostle [of God], a prophet. 51 We called out to him from the right side of the Mount, and We drew him near to Us by communing to him in secret, 52 and out of Our mercy We appointed his brother Aaron, a Prophet (that he may assist him). 53 And mention thou in the Book lsma'il; verily he was true in promise, and was apostle, prophet. 54 He used to enjoin on his people Prayer and Charity, and he was most acceptable in the sight of his Lord. 55 Mention in the Book (the Quran) the story of Idris (Enoch); he was a truthful Prophet. 56 whom We exalted onto a lofty station. 57 These are whom Allah has blessed among the Prophets from among the seed of Adam and of those whom We bore with Noah; the descendants ofAbraham, of Israel, and of those whom We have guided and chose. For when the verses of the Merciful were recited to them, they fell down prostrate, weeping. ۩ 58 ۞ But there came after them an evil generation, who neglected prayers and followed and sensual desires, so they win meet perdition, 59 Except those who repent and believe, and work righteousness: for these will enter the Garden and will not be wronged in the least,- 60 Gardens of Eternity, those which (Allah) Most Gracious has promised to His servants in the Unseen: for His promise must (necessarily) come to pass. 61 They will not hear therein any meaningless words. They will be greeted (by the angels) with "Peace be with you," and they will receive their sustenance both in the mornings and evenings. 62 this is the paradise which We grant as a heritage unto such of Our servants as are conscious of Us. 63 (Gabriel said:) 'We do not descend except at the command of your Lord. To Him belongs all that is before us and all that is behind us, and all that lies between. Your Lord does not forget. 64 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – therefore worship Him and be firm in His worship; do you know any other of the same name as His? 65
