The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
