Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 thou art truly among the Envoys 3 On a Straight Way. 4 (and this Qur'an) is a revelation from the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate 5 That you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up so that they cannot see. 9 Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not. 10 You can warn only those who would follow the Reminder and fear the Gracious God, unseen. Give them the good news of forgiveness and a noble reward. 11 Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register. 12
