Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble scribes 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
