And whoever turns himself away from the remembrance of the Beneficent Allah, We appoint for him a Shaitan, so he becomes his associate. 36 Devils divert men from the [right] way, while they think that they are rightly guided. 37 And when he comes before Us, he shall say: 'Would that there had been between me and you, the distance of the two Easts' Evil is the companion. 38 It will be said [to such a person], "You have done wrong. Having partners in punishment will be of no avail to you today." 39 Then will you make the deaf hear, [O Muhammad], or guide the blind or he who is in clear error? 40 Even if We take you away from the world, We shall surely take vengeance on them 41 Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them. 42 So, hold fast to the Book that has been revealed to you, you are surely on the right path, 43 The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account. 44 And ask those of Our apostles whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent Allah? 45
