Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
