O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 those vie in good works, outracing to them. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 Nay, but their hearts are in perplexity as to this, and they have deeds besides that that they are doing. 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels 66 In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 Assuredly thou art calling them to a straight path; 73 And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
