Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble, recording, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
