Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light; 61 And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks. 62 The servants of the All-merciful are those who walk in the earth modestly and who, when the ignorant address them, say, 'Peace'; 63 And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing. 64 And who say: Our Lord! Avert from us the doom of hell; lo! the doom thereof is anguish; 65 Evil indeed it (Hell) is as an abode and as a place to dwell. 66 who, when they expend, are neither prodigal nor parsimonious, but between that is a just stand; 67 And those who invoke not any other ilah (god) along with Allah, nor kill such life as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. 68 and on the Day of Judgment their torment will be double. They will suffer forever in disgrace. 69 Save him who repenteth and believeth and doth righteous work; as for such, Allah will change their evil deeds to good deeds. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 70 Those who repent and act righteously have truly returned to God, 71 those who do not testify falsely and when they come across something impious, pass it by nobly, 72 And those who, when they are admonished by the commands of Allah, fall not down thereat, deaf and blind. 73 Those who say: 'Lord give us of our wives and children what pleases our eyes and make us leaders to the fearful' 74 [Such as] these will be rewarded for all their patient endurance [in life] with a high station [in paradise,] and will be met therein with a greeting of welcome and peace, 75 There they shall abide forever: a blessed dwelling and a blessed resting place. 76 Say: 'My Lord cares little for you if it was not for your supplication, indeed you have belied (the Messenger and the Koran) so it (the punishment) will be fastened' 77
