Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Reality! 1 What is the Reality? 2 And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Hour is? 3 Samood and Ad called the striking calamity a lie. 4 The Thamuds were destroyed by a violent blast of sound. 5 as for Aad, they were destroyed by a howling, violent wind 6 Which He made to prevail against them for seven nights and eight days unremittingly, so that you might have seen the people therein prostrate as if they were the trunks of hollow palms. 7 Do you see any remnants of them? 8 Pharaoh and those before him and the people of the overturned habitations all engaged in the same great sin. 9 and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe! 10 Lo, when the waters rose, We bore you in the running ship 11 In order to make it a warning for you, and that the ear retentive may preserve it. 12 Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet, 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and then crushed with a single blow, 14 On that day, the inevitable event will take place 15 and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail, 16 And the angels will be on the sides thereof, and eight will uphold the Throne of thy Lord that day, above them. 17 That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he shall say, 'Here, take and read my book! 19 Behold, I did know that [one day] I would have to face my account! 20 So he shall be in a pleasing life 21 In a lofty garden, 22 Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. 23 Eat and drink with benefit for that which ye sent on beforehand in days past. 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 and that we would never knew what our records contained. 26 Oh, would that it had been death! 27 My wealth has not availed me, 28 my authority is gone from me.' 29 (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. 30 And then expose him to hell-fire 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 they did not believe in the great God, 33 Nor urged others to feed the poor. 34 So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend 35 nor any food save the filth 36 which no one will eat except the sinners. 37
