▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 2 of 3
All that lives on earth or in the heavens is bound to pass away: 26 And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will abide forever. 27 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 28 All those who are in the heavens and the earth ask of Him; every moment He is in a state (of glory). 29 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 30 Anon We shall direct Ourselves to you, O ye two classes. 31 (We shall then see), which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 32 O assembly of jinn and man! if ye be able to pass out of the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass out; ye can not pass out except with authority. 33 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 34 Flames of fire and molten copper shall be loosed against you, and you shall not be helped. 35 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 36 Then when the heaven is rent asunder, and it becomes rosy or red like red-oil, or red hide. 37 Which of your Lord's powers will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 38 Of his sin will be questioned that Day neither man nor jinn. 39 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 40 The culprits will be recognised by their marks, and will be lain hold of by the forelocks and the feet. 41 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 42 This will be the hell which those who are lost in sin [now] call a lie: 43 they shall go round between it and between hot, boiling water. 44 Which of your Lord's powers will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 45

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
