Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the pages are made public 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And the night when it departs, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Then where are you going? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
