The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 by a burning fire 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
