The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
