Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 This (Qur’an) is sent down from the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 2 a Book whose verses have been well-expounded; an Arabic Qur'an for those who have knowledge, 3 It bears glad tidings and a warning, yet most of them turn away and do not listen. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are encased against that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us, so do as you will and so shall we." 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter. 7 For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never fail. 8
