۞ God says, "Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me". 51 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and earth; His is the religion for ever. Then will you fear other than God? 52 Whatever blessing you have is from God, and to Him you turn for help when distress befalls you, 53 yet as soon as He has removed the harm from you, lo! some of you [begin to] ascribe to other powers a share 'in their Sustainer's divinity 54 that they may show unthankfulness for that We have given them. So take your joy; certainly you will soon know! 55 They even appoint a share of what We have provided for them [to false gods] they know nothing of. You shall surely be questioned about the lies you have been fabricating. 56 And they assign daughters for Allah! - Glory be to Him! - and for themselves (sons,- the issue) they desire! 57 And when one of them is informed of [the birth of] a female, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief. 58 Because of the evil of the good news he hides himself from people, (pondering) whether he will keep her and be humiliated, or trample her into the dust. Evil is their judgement! 59 For those who do not believe in the hereafter is an evil attribute, and Allah's is the loftiest attribute; and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 60
