He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 you attend to him, 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 and in awe of God 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 Exalted, purified, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 Out of what did Allah create him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 how We made the grain to grow, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 with darkness overspread: 41 those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
