Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 in a Garden on high, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
