We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
