And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him – We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
