Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
