The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
