The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
