The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
