Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim! 1 A sending down from the Merciful, the Compassionate. 2 A Book whose signs have been distinguished as an Arabic Koran for a people having knowledge, 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your God is One God; so direct yourselves straight to Him, and seek His forgiveness. Woe to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity, 6 who do not pay the zakat, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
